"Registering for SHA is now as simple as dialling *147#. The USSD code will get you a message through which you can verify your information using your national identity card," he said.
The PS further highlighted that rigorous training sessions for hospital staff were done to ensure seamless service delivery under the new system.
"Familiarity with the previous system was a huge challenge for most of our hospitals. However, the multiple rounds of training that we had to take our personnel through have been hugely beneficial," said Kimtai.
The PS also shared his personal registration experience assuring the public that the SHA is more user-friendly and beneficial than NHIF in the long run.
